Grab your bear can or camp chair, kick your feet up and chew the fat about anything Sierra Nevada related that doesn't quite fit in any of the other forums. Within reason, (and the HST rules and guidelines) this is also an anything goes forum. Tell stories, discuss wilderness issues, music, or whatever else the High Sierra stirs up in your mind.

Owens Valley Forecast
Provided by Dennis Mattinson
Forecast Specialist for the
Sierra Wave 92.5 & 96.5 FM

Skies remain mostly clear with breezy conditions in the Owens Valley. A dry, cold Canadian air mass has settled over Central California and is expected to stay through Thursday. Because of this, temperatures will be quite cool in both the Owens Valley and adjacent High Country. Evening temperatures in the High Country will dip to 0 degrees or colder and nighttime temperatures in the Owens Valley will drop down to the single digits or lower.

Today: Mostly clear with high temperatures in the low 40s. There will be a north wind 15 to 25 mph. Gusty conditions over the Crest to 60 mph. Low temperatures in the Valley will be near 10 degrees.

Tomorrow: Mostly sunny with winds light and variable. Highs will be in the mid 40s and lows will be in the upper teens.

Outlook: High pressure moves in on Friday keeping the forecast dry with temps near or slightly below normal through Sunday.
