All:

Discussion: Upper low out of the Gulf of Alaska is on the move southward. A series of shortwave impulses from that low will effect our area, particularly the High country, through the weekend. With this, I expect a real cool down from the warm temps we have been having. Winds will also pick up in the High Country and over the Crest tonight, +45 mph and + 60 mph, with the chance of light snow.

Today: The Owens Valley can expect partly cloudy skies. Temps mid 60s / upper 20s. Winds S 10 - 20 mph.

Thanksgiving: The valley will see partly cloudy skies. Temps low 60s / mid 20s. Winds S 10 - 15 mph.

Outlook: Things should be mostly dry Friday and Saturday, then a deeper shortwave will move through our area on Sunday. The High County and upper elevations, particularly from Rock Creek north, will have an excellent chance of snow Sunday night. I am looking at 6 to 12 inches of the white stuff Sunday night into Monday for the High Country. The Owens Valley can expect partly cloudy skies on Sunday/Monday with a chance of showers.

Happy Thanksgiving,
