All:

Discussion: The Owens Valley awoke this morning to partly sunny skies and isolated snow flurries, in the upper elevations, all along the Southern Crest. We can expect gusty winds (+50 mph) in the advisory level this afternoon over the Crest. There is a potential for a high wind watch in the Owens Valley later today as well. I expect light rain/flurries over the Crest this afternoon and a possibility of light rain in the Owens Valley. The system causing this moisture will exit our area early Tuesday followed by a weak high pressure ridge which should give us dry weather through Wednesday afternoon.

Today: Partly to mostly cloudy with a 20% chance of showers. Highs in the upper 50s / lows in the mid 30s. Windy conditions in the Valley 15-25 mph. Snow flurries over the Southern Crest.

Tomorrow: Partly cloudy with a 20% chance of showers early. Highs in the mid 60s / lows in the mid 30s. Winds light and variable.

Outlook: High pressure will flatten as a upper level shortwave moves into our area late Wednesday into Thursday. The dynamics are such that only partly cloudy skies will prevail in the Owens Valley with a slight chance of moisture in the upper elevations for the southern High Country.
