All:

Discussion: Sunny and warm today with possible record highs in the Owens Valley and High Country. Cool down tomorrow as ridge weakens with the passing of an upper level trough to the north of our area. Dry and breezy conditions will prevail on Wednesday.

Today: Sunny, warm with some cirrus overhead. Possible record temps. High Country; temps low 70s / mid 30s, wind W 10-15mph G 40 over the ridges. Owens Valley; temps low 80s / upper 30s, wind W light.

Tomorrow: Partly cloudy in the afternoon with cooling temps. Breezy conditions. High Country; temps upper 50s / upper 20s, wind SW 10-20 mph G 40 over the Crest. Owens Valley; temps mid 70s / mid 30s, wind NW 10-15mph.

Outlook: Short wave ridging Thursday into Friday with fair weather. Storm track out of the Pacific NW will begin to sag farther south Sunday and Monday. This opens the door for possible wet weather next week.

Thanks Dennis for regularly posting each day's weather report here in the forum, much appreciated.

Looks like the first serious winter storms will be pushing south into California next week just like usually happens in November. In a couple weeks all the bare rock and trees we've been looking at since the melt last spring will all just be a summer memory. ...David

I am glad you find the forecasts useful. And yes, things are goingto start changing rapidly in the High country. But, today in Independence it was 81F, believe it or not.
