All:

Discussion: Thanks to a high pressure ridge over California, the Owens Valley and High Country awoke to a beautiful, clear, crisp fall morning. Starting on Saturday night, that ridge will weaken and move eastward as a shortwave begins to track through Central California. Temps should remain a few degrees above normal with dry conditions through Saturday.

Friday: Clear dry conditions, with light winds, for the Owens Valley and High Country. Daytime highs for the Owens Valley will be in the low 70s and nighttime lows will be in the upper 30s. The High Country (8,000 feet) will see light winds and afternoon highs in the low 60s with evening temps down to the low 20s.

Saturday: Continued clear, dry conditions for both the Owens Valley and High Country during the day. The High Country will have evening temps in the low 20s and daytime temps in the low 60s. The Owens Valley will continue to have mild daytime temps in the upper 60s/low 70s and evening temps in the mid 30s.

Outlook: Saturday night into Sunday will see increased mid level clouds, continued dry conditions with a few degrees of cooling, as the shortwave impulse moves across our region. Monday a weak upper ridge builds in giving us a dry northwest flow and moderate temps through Wednesday.
