Discussion: Today our large high pressure ridge will begin to be undercut by a weak cut-off low located off the Southern California coast. This low is expected to traverse our area tomorrow, giving us increased cloud cover later today and tomorrow, with an increase in winds tomorrow afternoon.

Today: Mostly clear skies becoming partly cloudy in the afternoon. Variable winds through out the day at 10 to 15 mph out of the northeast.

Tomorrow: Partly to mostly cloudy skies in the morning, with a very slight chance of showers, becoming clear by noon. Gusty conditions SSW to 20 - 25 mph.

Outlook: Low pressure to drift eastward on Wednesday with a flat ridge building in behind Thursday and Friday. There will be a slight warming trend through the forecast period with generally clear skies and light winds.

The weekend's weather was superb -- almost like summer.

Unfortunately, I missed Snow Nymph's Boundary Peak trip (because I couldn't find the darn turnoff from Rte. 6 in the dark, and so never found the place!), but I ended up doing 3 nice dayhikes in the Eastern Sierras, including the North Fork - Big Pine Creek loop and McGee Lake. Surprisingly little snow, even up at 11,000 feet.
