Short Term…Today and tomorrow, high pressure aloft will continue to produce mild weather and minimal cloud cover, except for some transient cirrus over the crest in the late afternoon. Winds will remain light and temps will be slightly above normal. For the Owens Valley, daytime temps will be in the mid 80s and evening temps in the upper 40s. The High Country will experience evening temps in the low 30s and daytime temps in the low 70s.

Long Term…Rex Block pattern to slowly break down giving us mild weather through Saturday. Temps will remain slightly above normal. Varying amounts of high clouds will drift over the Crest each afternoon, with minimal threat of precipt. The upper elevations (above 10,000 feet) will experience evening temps in the upper single digits. The High Country (8,000 feet) will continue with nighttime temps in the low 30s and the Owens Valley will see evening temps in the mid 40s. Increasing winds and decreasing temps can be expected for Sunday and Monday as a Pacific trough moves onshore.
