Show yourself!

Grab your bear can or camp chair, kick your feet up and chew the fat about anything Sierra Nevada related that doesn't quite fit in any of the other forums. Within reason, (and the HST rules and guidelines) this is also an anything goes forum. Tell stories, discuss wilderness issues, music, or whatever else the High Sierra stirs up in your mind.

I think we did this on the old HST board...How about posting a picture of yourself.

Here I am a few months ago in Yosemite with Mt. Dana in the background with my constant companion "Hiker Dude" at my side...

Mike,
I forgot how to post a picture- Can you again give a brief refresher course - or point me where to look? BTW, what happened to the old forum photograph section? Will it rise again?

I don't know how to do this either but here's a link:

I'll try to fix it next week

Well, I can see this is going to work real good. :o

Mark,

I forgot...to post a picture on this board you have to have the picture uploaded to a website. I don't know what happened to the photo gallery or if it will return.

Snowy,

I tried to post the picture for you, but I guess Webshots doesn't allow it.

Guys, you are all Moderators! Click on edit on Hikin Mike's post and you can see just how it's done! Just don't edit his post. I'm sure he wouldn't appreciate that! :p

Oh man! If you guys are stumped on posting pictures... I'm REALLY going to have problems! I'm on the top of the list of the technically-challenged!

I tried to submit an "AVATOR" and can't figure out how to get it 80 pixel X 80 pixel and only 49 KB. I just get messages refering me to the specifications.

... But - I would like to see the photo gallery come back, it was nice having faces to put with names.

I'm always willing to size your avatars down. Just email them to me and I'll email them back: eric_osterling **at** hotmail **dot** com.

The photo gallery will come back. Just working out how I'm going to do it. It's going to be a different script and will look different. I want to keep it seperate from these forums if I can. I think the old album might have been how the hackers got in last time... :retard:

How to sneak photos out of webshots!!

Postby Bearlover » Sun Nov 13, 2005 10:03 pm

I am in shock that something I did on the computer actually worked.. I don't feel as lame now! What I did was visit the link Snowy left.. right clicked on her picture and highlighted the url and then copied it. Next I returned here and pasted the url.. highlighted it and hit img on the above toolbar!! I am totally stoked.. but I just know my computer will crash and catch on fire now or something! Let me at those Russian hackers!! I will copy and paste them to death!

Thanks Bearlover! :)

I tried clicking on IMG and it didn't work for me. :retard: I was on my way out the door and didn't have time to work on it.
