Lost camera :( Kaiser Pass / Lake Edison

Grab your bear can or camp chair, kick your feet up and chew the fat about anything Sierra Nevada related that doesn't quite fit in any of the other forums. Within reason, (and the HST rules and guidelines) this is also an anything goes forum. Tell stories, discuss wilderness issues, music, or whatever else the High Sierra stirs up in your mind.

Lost camera :( Kaiser Pass / Lake Edison

Post by ephrat »

Hello everyone!

First time poster, long time lurker. I was up at Kaiser Pass / Lake Edison this weekend, and I believe I lost my camera somewhere between the trailhead for Bear Ridge and Mono Hot Springs. I think I left it on top of my car, and it must have fallen off somewhere along the way. (I guess that's what happens when you're tired and dehydrated after a long hike.)

It's a Canon s95 and was in a bright orange Lowepro case.

I would so love to retrieve my camera, especially for the pictures it holds which are irreplaceable. I'd really appreciate it if you let me know if you come across it or hear of anyone who does!

Thanks so much.

Hi Ephrat,

Welcome to HST! Wish you luck in finding your camera.

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

You might also drop a note to the people at VVR...they drive the roads on a regular basis, and might see your camera---and get it turned in at the store.
