I'm on vacation at the family cabin on the Henry's Fork of the Snake River and a friend recommended this hike since I'm trying to stay in shape for my trip to the Mono Divide in a month. I drove on Sawtell Peak Road (off Hwy. 20) for about 5 miles and parked at the maintenance station 4.5 miles from the peak. From there I hiked up the road, cutting the corners on a couple switchbacks. All told, it was a 9 mile round trip hike with 2200 ft. of climbing. Not too shabby.

Carne,
Nice pictures. Thanks for sharing. I lived up in that area one winter. I wish I could go back to downhill ski Targhee.
I snowmobiled Yellowstone one day. One of the greatest days ever!
Thanks,
-Russ

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

Maverick, those are the Grand Tetons. Are my captions not visible?
