Machu Picchu

Post by Hobbes »

Not the Sierra, but I thought everyone might enjoy some pics of the Inca trail. We visited Machu Picchu a few years ago, which inspired my wife's uncle to take a trip this summer. He's the one person in the (extended) family who gives me a run for the money energy-wise, but note that he's *75*.

I'm trying to get him to do some of the JMT, but he seems to prefer the deluxe x-country packages, like England's lake country, the Alps, etc. (I guess he prefers a few drinks, a great dinner and a warm bed at night after a long day's hike. LOL - who doesn't?)

Great! We posted photos from Machu Picchu here earlier this year---when the hills were a lot greener!

Check out that post from the end of April in this same message board...
