Waucoba (11,123') is the highest peak in the Inyo Mountains. We also did Squaw (10,358') and made a loop trip out of this. Great weather and views!

The next day we drove to Papoose Flats, then headed for Andrews Peak. Working on photos.

We drove to Papoose Flats, looking for evidence of Piute occupancy in the area. Later we hiked Andrews Mountain, which had the best view of the 3 peaks this weekend.

SN, Papoose flats looks like a really neat area! A bit different looking I think. I love the views if the Sierra, looks like you could just reach out and touch those peaks. :D
Beautiful pictures

SnowNymph did you see any bristlecone up on those peaks? I went through your pics and just saw limber pine and mountain mahogany. Even at those altitudes they are scarce unless there are the white dolomite outcrops.

I guess I don't know the difference between limber and bristlecone. They look alike. If its something else, I'll change the label. Let me know.
