Black Point, Mono Lake

[Eastern Sierra]

After driving by this beautiful, huge formation a hundred times, I finally went there today. It has always fascinated me on many different levels. It was way more than I ever could have imagined and I will return soon! Next time I'll enter the fissures, from the ground of course. There is no marked trail.....just head to the NW area and you'll find the good stuff. Plenty of cool shade once you reach the fissures, too.
