Wow, beautiful, Snowie! Can you name some of the flowers? My memory of California flower is fading fast, and my Munz isn't handy

thanks! B2, the flowers are named on the website (more flowers there too). The ones I posted here are Fire Poppy (bottom orange), Phacelia grandiflora (purple), and not sure what the top orange succulent is. Lots of flowers out here in Santa Barbara!

Welcome to Santa Barbara Snowy, You'll find some great year-round hiking here and good backpacking too. Have you been in the backcountry yet? Check out the Manzana River area in the San Rafael Wilderness. Huuricane Deck, Mission Pine basin, I could go on and on...

I love pictures. Pretty flowers! Does that creek dry up and if so when?

That creek typically runs year round through there but gets down to trickle. This year was a good rain so it should be good for the summer

B2, that first succulent flower is called "Live-Forever". :-)
Brian, haven't been to the backcountry yet, but exploring the frontcountry. I found a group (or they found me) that goes out Wed after work, so I'll be joining them soon. I added more SB hikes to the webpage.

Sedum laxum, mebbe? It's funny: I kid myself that the reason I have such a hard time with the mid-Atlantic and New England flora is that I learned all my plants when I lived in California, but when push comes to shove I don't remember much about the California flora, either!

I think it's a
Dudleya species, but it's hard to say which one without a good view of the basal leaves.
