Christine got sick and couldn't hike, so I sent out an e-mail Fri to someone I knew (but have not met) in Vegas. He replied back with a few choices to hike in Las Vegas. I called Lori, and we got together to hike Frenchman's (Sunrise Mountain). She's a peakbagger too, and this peak was on her list. It had some fun climbing and not much of a trail. The weather forecast said rain, but we only got a few sprinkles. The cool part was finding out we had a lot of things in common, including 3 mutual friends in CA! Small world!
Class 3 sticky limestone
Getting closer
There's a road to get up here, but that's the only part we went on, between the two towers
Downclimbing . . . follow the dots
Looking back at Frenchman's (aka Sunrise) 4 miles/2381' gain
