Our plan was to hike 2-3 peaks in the Glass Mountain Range. After 30 min of driving dirt roads, we came across a 50' snowdrift that was too much to shovel. So we ended up driving north of Benton and bagged Trafton Mountain (7,825'). After, we drove the dirt roads in the area and ended up on Antelope Mountain, which I hiked from Adobe Valley last year. On the way home we stopped at the Owens River to catch the sunset.
Bummer! I had to back down without a periscope
this little guy was cool!
White Mountains were in view for the whole drive
flowers
View from Trafton Mountain
fun backcountry roads
ended up on Antelope Mountain. Hiked it from the west side last year
Snow Nymph and SnowDude on Antelope Mountain
watched the sunset from Owens River
