DaveG and I dayclimbed Villager Peak, Rabbit Peak, back to Villager and out (on less than 3 hrs of sleep). This was the longest dayclimb I've ever done, with the most elevation gain in a day ever. GPS said 24.1 mi with 8,400' gain before it turned off 2.69 mi from the trailhead. (I think its listed as 21.2 mi with 7900' gain). There was Sierra Club group behind us, led by Mars Bonfire! I've seen his signature in countless registers, and finally got to meet him! How cool is that!!!

made it to Villager in 5 hrs, then spent almost an hour at the summit

OK, I might as well be the first to say it; Cori, I guess you were just Born to be Wild!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D Awesome job....one of these days I'll learn never to bet against you completing these epics! =D>

You better be careful.........any more hikes like this, and they'll start talking about Bob Burd and Rick Kent as the "male Snow Nymphs!!!!" :unibrow:

Born to be wild . . . yeah, that’s me! When you said I couldn’t do it I guess I took it as a challenge. I’ve done marathons, and this was almost that in distance. Thanks for keeping me in shape to do dayclimbs like this! I owe you! DaveG was an awesome partner on this trip. Towards the end, we were both laughing about wanting to lay down for just a few minutes (dogs where barking), but I felt like I would not have gotten back up, and I have a thing about “no bivouacing” :)

Fixed the link this morning on my way out. Guess I was so tired (and falling asleep in my seat) I didn't use a link  .
