Astrohound, Yukon Jack, Tom Gossett, Hard Charger (aka usmcjim) and Snow Nymph met at the trailhead for Sheephole Mountain on Friday night. We hiked through some cool boulders and gullys to the summit of Sheephole Mountain (4, 593'). What a beautiful day to be out in the desert!

We got up early and drove almost 100 miles to the East Ord Mountains. Its a seldom visited DPS peak, and we got up and down it pretty quick. It was warm out but windy and cold at 6,168'. Another great day for a hike! :)
