I met Lewis at Ballarat Thurs night. Fri we drove up Pleasant Canyon to World Beater Mine and followed the mining road to a saddle. We hiked Slims Peak, the last entry being 2005. The only other vehicle was another blue FJ, which turned out to be Paul Skinner. Later, we met up with the rest of the group (Desert Mouse, Gina, DaveG) at Thorndike Campground.

For three of us, 5 peaks on Cinco de Mayo. This was a mix of HighSierraTopix, Death Valley and Whitney forum members.
