Trailtrekker, SDsierrahiker and Snow Nymph hiked Sombrero Peak (4,229'), then went to Indian Hill to find the Kumeyaay pictographs and rock shelter. The cave is known as the Blue Sun Cave because of the blue pictograph. Experts think these pictos are less than 500 years old. This area was inhabited by the Kumeyaay Indians.

It was cold and windy in the morning. Nothing like Saturday! We continued to the trailhead. SDsierrahiker wasn't feeling well, so he drove around and took it easy. Trailtrekker and I headed for the peak, found the terracache, spent an hour enjoying the views, and made it down early.

It was a great weekend, with 2 more DPS peaks, 2 more terracaches, and a visit to one of the best pictograph sites I've seen.
