Any TR's coming soon?
:)

Our hike was a success, anytime you get to spend 2 hours meeting and hiking with fellow HST members, I would consider a success!
The weather was great, our hike was moderate in its intensity. Got to meet Peaksandpotatoes, Sli, and Dave_Ayers, all who were wonderful people and I hope to go on future hikes in the area and some Sierra backpacking trips too.

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

Have a safer backcountry experience by using the HST ReConn Form 2.0, named after Larry Conn, a HST member: http://reconn.org

Oops just noticed the PM message. That was the Sunday morning I hiked several miles in Big Basin but would have enjoyed hiking with you others if I had checked my messages, duh. Mission Peak is just a few miles from where I work in Newark and have noticed it is greening up since our rains. Well tomorrow am taking a PTO day off to drive up to my pass resort, Kirkwood, for a first day of the season skiing. If any of you want to do another local weekend hike this winter I will try and make it. Over decades have hiked a lot of the local trails so can provide advice of interesting ones during winter.

Hiking conditions at the local parks (Mission Peak, Pleasanton Ridge, Coyote Hills) have been stellar the past few weeks. I was going to post a Sunol/PR hike for this weekend, but unfortunately the rains seem to be on the way.
