Recent adventures in Central Oregon

Over the past couple of weeks I have fished the Cascades and hike in the Badlands and in the Cascades. Next week I return to the Sierra.

Mike,

Mt Bachelor looks like a fun mountain to climb.

I should climb those three Sisters as well.

Thanks for the report. Have fun in the Sierra!

"I saw the submariners, the way they stood aloof and silent, watching their pigboat with loving eyes. They are alone in the Navy. I admired the PT boys. And I often wondered how the aviators had the courage to go out day after day and I forgave their boasting. But the submariners! In the entire fleet they stand apart!”

Thanks for the TR and pictures. Interesting that Green Lake is still just thawing out, does it usually take till July to completely out Mike?

Maverick

I'm not sure. Never been up there this early in a basically "normal" year. Have been up later in July when there was actually more snow but the lake was open. Camped at Green Lakes in early August when there were still snow banks available to ice drinks.
