Late summer UT/CO/NM suggestions

Hi.
I've got a bunch of five day weekends off during July/August/September and I want to get out backpacking for several of those. I've already started a thread http://highsierratopix.com/community/vi ... =1&t=14348 about trip ideas in the Sierra but I'd be interested in suggestions in CO/UT/NM as well.
I live in Phoenix, AZ and I'll probably spend a day traveling each way to backpacking so I'll be looking for 3 nights backpacking on these trips.
I'd like to find places that are not Phoenix-hot.
I'm a level 2/3 hiker and I'm looking for class I or easier class II trips. I don't have a preference for loops verses out and back. Depending on elevation I'm probably looking for distance in the 30-something mile range for the whole trip, give or take.
