ISO Partner / Group for Winter Backpacking

Post by justin.s »

I'm hoping to do a day in day out (weekend) winter backpacking this weekend or next weekend and I want to find a partner or group rather than go solo.

The Colorado Rockies or elsewhere eastward from there would be my first preference.

Yellowstone, Big Horns, Black Hills are also options.

I will be driving from Iowa on a Friday and back to Iowa on a Monday. I'd rather not go solo.

Most of us on this forum live in California or Oregon. You may have some luck posting this on a forum that has more Rocky Mountain area members. Try this one. Good luck and have a good trip!

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.
