Southern California wildflowers

Post by oleander »

I'm looking for a general guideline re: When the wildflowers tend to appear in the Southern California desert...

...In an average year.
...In a possibly high-rain year (such as this one).
...At the various altitudes.

For instance, maybe in an average year the flowers tend to appear in Anza Borrego or lowest Death Valley first - February?? - then March at 3000 feet, and April at Joshua Tree/4000-5000 feet. I just made that up, of course.

Thanks!
