Very nice outing with the family Mike. Thanks for sharing. I've never been to the Eagle Cap, but it looks pretty scenic. I have to admit, I'm not sure I could take too much beer with pack stock, but thats just probably me!!!

What a nice trip. That looks to be quite an attractive alpine region to hike and fish in. Hope you get well soon.
Since my fishing (etc.) website is still down, you can be distracted by geology stuff at: http://www.fresnostate.edu/csm/ees/facu ... ayshi.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Nice trip Mike...
Family always comes first!

Confused though - first carp fishing (a few months prior), and now Bass?
Sigh...where did we go wrong?

I wasn't carp fishing and what's the matter with bass? A fine sporting fish!

I was hoping to see Bull Trout in your report when you mentioned Minam. Bass are ok. Stripped bass are more fun.

Russ,

Big Bull trout are further downstream on the main Minam River. I have no idea if they are in the N. Minam drainage. Also at least 3 lakes that feed into the N. Minam have had brookies planted in them so the downstream population of bull trout could be at risk.
