Boulder Peak (aka McCloud) and Whitecap Mtn in the Coso Range

Met Tomcat_rc in the morning and looked for the turnoff to Boulder Peak. With the thick fog we missed it, and started started our hike at the Scattered Bones turnoff. By the time we started our hike, the fog lifted and we could see where we were going. Ten minutes from the saddle, we saw 3 vehicles on the road, and I recognized two of them as Trailtrekker and Mtflyer. We waited an hour, waving my red jacket and yelling so they knew we were there. We bagged Boulder Peak (6,085') and Whitecap Mtn (6,117') and headed xctry for the road below that would take us to our vehicles. Beautiful area and great people to hike with! :D

Sunday's trip pics and anything I post after will be on my "1snownymph" account. This album fills up the space on the '2snownymph" account.

Tehachapi Peak and Double Mountain in the Tehachapi Range

Tomcat_rc, Snow Nymph and Rafael met up to hike these two peaks. First time for all of us. Trekker found out there was a plane wreck near the summit, so we looked and found the wing of an ultralight plane in a tree. Thanks for the tip! Still trying to get the story behind it and will add to the caption later.
