I really enjoyed this. It was great to relive parts of our trip last year. I loved the Swiftcurrent sunset photos. Since we went in late June, sections you went to were still relatively inaccessible. The entire trail to Hidden Lake was snow covered and the way down from the overlook only has a couple of sets of footprints going down to the lake. We have to get back there late in the season. There's so much to explore in Glacier. Thanks for sharing.
I don’t need a goal destination. I need a destination that meets my goals.

thanks. Late summer really is nice in Glacier. Only the first pic across Swiftcurrent was a sunset the rest were sunrises. But I took about 50 of that first night's sunset. But chose not to use any more because you couldn't see the detail of the surrounding mountains like you can with the sunrise pics.

Thanks for the great report. My husband would love to do that trip! How beautiful! My family camped once a year in Glacier when I was a kid. We drove forever on a dirt road to the end of Kintla? Lake. How hard is it to get a reservation at the backcountry lodges?

Best bet is to be able to go anytime and check for cancellations. Otherwise do it on the first day they take reservations in late october. Do it on line and works best laborday and after.
