Another incredible Sierra kayaking vid

These guys are bold- if ya flip on this or swim- welcome to the rag doll meat grinder. No rolling up here folks:

I feel lucky that at my advanced stage of decay, I get to stand around and hand these guys beer when they are finished. But kayakers are a rockin' community- much less of an a-hole factor than climbers for some reason.

If I were 20 again I could probably think of a bunch of reasons why but since I'm not I just sit here thinking them boys ain't right in head. =D>

Hey guys- as for me, I applaud every person's attempt to touch the champion in their soul. It doesn't need to make sense to us, but there is no denying that breath-taking expressions of skill and courage reminds us of the essential journey to authenticity...

A few years back I was heading up Taboose Pass at the same time as a guy in his 80's. A few days later going back down, I passed him again- he had just made the Pass. That guy is my hero. Not in the sense that I hope to be "doing it at his age" but in that he so transparently expressed in a simple direct act, his will and his passion. He understood that somehow, this completed him.

I dunno. This extreme kayaking looks crazy to me too- but every time I get into my boat, I'm probably more scared than these guys!

Just in case it wasn't, my comment/question above was meant to be quite facetious.

But..having said all that, even the top-guns take a beat down occasionally (non-Sierra footage):
