Yes, thanks to all the above and also a huge thanks and respect for Maverick who has been unflagging in his determination to coordinate efforts to bring some closure to friends and family. I know it has been a tremendous amount of work on his part.
I know we all would like more detailed info to be able to understand the scenario Larry was in and learn from it

There are no adequate words to express the gratitude. Thank you maverick for your commitment, effort and determination. Thank you also to all involved. This has been a difficult time for the entire community and especially for Larry's loved ones, but mercifully closure is near. We will not forget you, Larry.

Two weeks ago I passed Taboose on the way to Mammoth and thoughts went out for Larry. Now every time I pass it there will be thoughts of Larry. Thoughts and prayers to his family and close at hand friends. Thanks Mav for all your efforts.

This forum, and the members who keep it running and on the mark, have been incredible throughout the time since Larry went missing. I can't tell you what a source of comfort and inspiration you have been. Maverick, you know how I feel about your efforts. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. All of the SARS folks and the many official agencies have been great, too, to be sure. But this community has been especially meaningful to me, especially because Larry was such an active member in it. I've learned so much from your dedication to him.

Visiting this site helps me remember Larry--his passion for and knowledge of the Sierras, his smarts and humor and his great way with words, his sense of adventure, his loyalty and honesty, his friendship. I miss him. Always will.

HST, thank you.

(Claus, I'll be in touch. Please tell Larry's family they are in my thoughts.)

I am incredibly happy that he is found and still very saddened that he has passed. There has got to be some peace in knowing that he passed doing what he loved. May you forever rest in peace Larry in your Sierra Nevada heaven, of life and in death.

Even though you don't know me, I offer my condolences to his family and friends.

Maverick, you have a good heart and I admire you for all you have done here.

Baff
