Fresno SAR Incident 6/20

Post by maverick »

Fresno Co. Sheriff's:
Wednesday evening, the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a missing 15 year old boy. The teen never returned to his campground after rafting with family members in the Mono Hot Springs area. Search and Rescue (SAR) deputies and volunteers responded to the area to look for him. They worked throughout the night and around 9:00 am on Thursday SAR members found him. Our EAGLE One helicopter was directed to the location, landed, picked up the boy and flew him back to his family. He was not injured.

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

Have a safer backcountry experience by using the HST ReConn Form 2.0, named after Larry Conn, a HST member: http://reconn.org
