Mission Peak Meet-up 12/18

A forum to initiate member meet-up. Looking for a hiking/climbing/fishing/skiing/etc. partner, or are you planning a trip where you wouldn't mind having some company? Last minute invites can be just as fun as a well-planned group trip (sometimes even better) so don't be shy! And be sure to post a trip report to the appropriate forum when you get back.

Had a wonderful time, impressive turnout, met some great folks, including some next generation HSTer's :) It was a very cold and windy that day, but nothing some HST members could not handle. :unibrow:

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

Nice turnout! Recognize the usual suspects. Can you list the names to faces?

Done.
Tao, Isabella, and Daniel are Tomba's family, Anne is a friend of Oleander, and Hermant is one of my friends.

Excuse me for the delay but it took a few days to get the names of people in the image straightened out.

Low res for web image of the HST group at the Ohlone College Ysc trailhead at 400 foot elevation about 9:15am Sunday December 18. Sunny skies, temperature was 43F at a breezy 10 to 15 mph. Surprising numbers of other groups including hikers, mountain bikers, dog walkers, and joggers, were also already on their way up the trail that is actually mostly a wide flat dirt road.

3000x1765 pixel down loadable version of above, enough for a sharp 15 inch wide print:

Low res for web image of the HST group at the top of Mission Peak elevation 2514 feet about 1:15pm. Temperature was about 38F and winds a few steps away 20 to 30 mph.

The 3000x1765 pixel link entered yesterday evening was mistakenly the same as its smaller web size picture at top. ):
Thus just fixed that.

For those unfamiliar with copying web page images noting terms are somewhat browser dependent. General useful web skill to know. This is Firefox...

Mouse right select the link
Open link in new window
(new window opens with image at full size)
Mouse right select anywhere on image
Save image as
(Save Image window pops up for saving to one's computer folders)

Internet Explorer is identical except:

...Mouse right select anywhere on image
Save picture as
