anyone for a little peakbagging in yosemite this week?

A forum to initiate member meet-up. Looking for a hiking/climbing/fishing/skiing/etc. partner, or are you planning a trip where you wouldn't mind having some company? Last minute invites can be just as fun as a well-planned group trip (sometimes even better) so don't be shy! And be sure to post a trip report to the appropriate forum when you get back.

Anyone interested in a little classic Yosemite this week? I'm thinking Mount Conness from Saddlebag this Friday July 24 and Mount Warren from Warren Fork Trailhead on Saturday. Will car camp at a walk-in campground Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights. Aiming to get on the road home on Sunday by 1:00 pm, so if we are feeling great and want to wake up early, we can attempt Mount Hoffmann on the way home.

Ooh, that is a fun, and a relatively easy class 2 route, with an enormous pay off at the summit of Conness. Thunderstorms will have cleared out by Thur, which will make for some great climbing conditions, have a fun, and safe climb, looking forward to the pictures. :)

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

Hello Peaks&Potatoes,
Did you try Hoffman on Sunday? We went up despite very smokey conditions ( couldn't see Half Dome or Mt Clark). By the time we were on top (12:30) the wind had shifted and smoke was clearing. By the time we reached May Lake on the return could hazily see most of the park.
