Virginia Canyon and Summit Lake Condition

I will be doing heading from Hetch Hetchy to Green Creek. Most of the route should be clear of snow. I am however concerned about the stretch through Virginia Canyon and up to Summit Lake. Has anyone been through there this season and if so is the trail clear?

Hi Old Ranger,
I intended to go in via Green Creek and hike around Virginia Lakes and past Summit Lake this coming Thursday, 8/15. Any info about creek crossings and mosquitos?

Hi,
Sorry for the delayed reply. It was wonderful, Perfect temps and lovely hiking conditions. Sorry, we do not fish but saw plenty of them jumping in the lakes.
