Little Lakes Valley Trip Report

Post by deenad »

As most of you know, Little Lakes Valley is an easier hike, for those of us that are a little less mobile. my Pal and I went on a two day trip into LLV on August 7th. We entered in the evening, and hiked to Long Lake. Mosquito's were pretty bad, but I was prepared after a horrific trip into the North Fork of Big Pine Creek last month! We found a ledge to set up camp above Long Lake to take advantage of the breeze to keep the skeeters away.
Chickenfoot lake was spectacular! The trail to Morgan Pass has a snow/ice crossing that is easy for most, terrifying for Pagophobes. All in all a wonderful experience with very little elevation gain and MANY lakes....
