Weekend: strong storm to smack into Southern Sierra

Latest NWS forecast this Thursday AM is showing a strong storm with high winds will occur in the Southern Sierra this weekend. Snow levels start high at 8k+ then drop to 3k by Sunday night. Anyone considering playing in the snow ought be aware of the forecast. Although the northern and central parts of the state have done well with precipitation the last couple mid winter months, the southern part of the state except for the one storm that caused floods, has received below average as tail end of systems brush by.
