Water Conditions in GTW on Sequoia NF 5/27/15

Post by joshuacourter »

Here are some current water flow conditions for the Golden Trout Wilderness on the Sequoia National Forest side as of May, 27, 2015.

Alpine Creek – Flowing
Little Kern River – Flowing
Soda Spring Creek – Flowing
Lion Meadows – Flowing
Sheep Creek – Flowing
Noname Creek – Flowing
Willow Creek – Flowing
Table Meadow Creek – Stagnant
Sagebrush Gulch – Dry

I personally hiked out into the Golden Trout Wilderness and observed these flows. I would say flow conditions are more like early fall right now and not a typical late May.

Thanks for the flow update. I've been thinking about a quick June trip into the GTW to fish the Little Kern/Click's Creek/Alpine/Mountaineer Creek area. I need to get a Little Kern Golden to help me make progress on completing the California Heritage Trout Challenge. It sounds like I better not delay my trip if flows are already at late summer/fall conditions.
Life is good. Eternal Life is better!
