NF Big Pine Creek - 1st and 2nd Lake

Post by littlefish »

May 1-3, 2015. 1st Lake a little down but still beautiful; inlet from 2nd Lake dry with small input from "invisible" creek. 2nd Lake down, looks like at least 40 ft. Someone please tell me they are working on the lake. No creek flow into 2nd Lake. Beautiful but sad. Plenty of wind and not many fish. 1st Lake tragedy. The low point of the trip was to see this fire damage at a favorite 1st Lake campsite, near the inlet from 2nd Lake. Why do people do stuff like this? No fires means no fires.

Thanks for the conditions update.
That fire scar is horrible. :\
Any photo's looking back towards Temple Crag or the Palisades?

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

I do have a couple of pics looking towards Temple Crag. This was taken near the inlet from 2nd lake May 1, 2015.
