Flying back into SFO from Paris today and snapped these shots coming over the Sierra. I think this is Ansel Adams wilderness / Ritter / Banner / etc... But would love to get confirmation.
Regardless, looks pretty cold up there -- getting excited for a Ritter attempt next month.

You got it. That's Ritter and Banner from the Lake Catherine side (top photo). Nice images and sharp eye from an airplane!

Tomba, Thx for the aerial recon with map points. I'm thinking about going short of Duck; maybe to Barney Lake later next week for a bit of r&r; this is helpful! Funny, whenever I fly anywhere I always like to figure what side of the a/c to sit on to see familiar landscapes based upon a projected usual routes taken. (Roads in the skies=Vector airways)
