Here's another gem to share with you all. A 1941 summer outing at Garnet Lake, hosted by the Sierra Club. These outdoor enthusiasts, mostly over 50 I suspect, sure know how to have a good time.

My friend Steve used to run mule trains out of Tuolumne for large parties in Yose. Evidently, one of their destinations was Lower Mattie Lk.
Pack in the best food, large tents, boats, etc. They did this for "dignitaries," like state senators or any one in power.
This was in the mid '80s.

Interesting job. Sure he's got some stories.

The amount of gear this group packs in is astonishing. Living the good life for sure.
