Barney Riley Site

A place to explore the natural setting (geology, flora & fauna), people, constructed infrastructure and historical events that play and have played a part in shaping the Sierra Nevada as we know it today.

Barney Riley Site

Post by kd6swa »

Does anyone know the history of the Barney Riley site ( on an old map it says SHL)northwest of Topaz Lake on the California-Nevada state line? All I see on the internet are 4 wheel drive treks but nothing of the history.

Thanks

It is not in my copy of "California Place Names" but that doesn't surprise me. Interesting question- one full name or two last names or?
