Who was your college roomie? Judy worked at Clorox R&D as a microbiologist from something like 1992 (or was it 1993) until 2004 or so. She did bring home some of those dressing samples, but since neither of us liked their dressings that much, that only happened early on. The KC Masterpiece stuff was a bit more useful. I used that for my "marinating" BBQ sauce to set up my own homemade ("Oakland-style") BBQ sauce that I slop on after grilling. Kingsford is still my go-to charcoal, so the Kingsford samples were extremely useful for us.

Too late. And no, I don't take ranch with me. In fact, all I ever really use it for is as a dipping sauce for raw snack veggies.

Mention of ranch was barely noticeable and as an afterthought "TT Tip" in the OP recipe. I'm blown away that such a minor reference to something as harmless as ranch dressing would prompt a thread hijacking.

I have to share in Russ' disdain for ranch dressing. I had so much of it AND Cup O' Noodle (not at the same time) in college, that the smell of either one, even to this day, makes me feel nauseous. Yeah, it's been over 20 years, but that buttermilk and herb stench...yich! If others are cool with it, great, but keep it away from me, thank you.

Perhaps you guys should start your own thread about your disdain for ranch dressing, or hey, maybe form a hate group with your own Facebook page where like minds can b**** about it all they want.
