4 ounces for $2, beats freeze dried meat from Mountain House by a mile - found this at my Chinese food isle - looks like a great way to upgrade entrees to include some protein on the trail without having to worry about weight and expiration date. It's basically a finely fluffy jerky.

Have to do some test meals before I can recommend.
