Milk alternitive

So first off I drink soy milk, no dairy for me.

I wanted to take powdered soy milk but its been impossible to find it at a store near me and my trip is this week so no online ordering.

Is soy protein mix an acceptable substitute? Probably not since its more of a protein supplement huh?

Anyone ever carry rice milk in those cartons? Or anything like that? They're just pretty heavy AMD that's my only concern since it doesn't need to be refrigerated.

Whole Foods or even Walmart carries it, or just buy it on-line.

Soy Protein Powder is not the same, do not use it as a milk sub.

Carton milk is just heavy, and then you still have to carry the carton around.

Yea ive seen it on their website but for a pack of 6 and $91.
No need for all that right now and either way, it wouldnt make it to me on time before Thursday.

Trader Joe's doesnt even carry it so it seems like whole foods is my best bet, too bad
I have to drive an hr to the nearest one

i haven't personally used a milk substitute in decades hiking. I did the first trip and thought, ugh. I take my oatmeal or cream of wheat, or malto-meal as it comes. Add cranberries, currants, or blueberries and go!

I'm thinking you don't eat cheese either. That would be really hard for most, as it's a great pick me up either at lunch or in a dinner mix or a pre-dinner snack.

Why do you need the milk alternative?
