login issues

Postby ERIC on Mon Jan 17, 2011 8:56 am

Some of you may have experienced some issues with logging in this past weekend. I think I have the problem solved, but if you know of anyone who is still having problems, first ask them to clear cookies on their browser and then let me know if the problem persists.

Cheers,
Eric

Eric, the problem went well beyond log-in issues. The website was down -- not accessible in any way -- for most of the weekend, at least when I tried to access it. My PC displayed a "fatal error" message.

Mike,
What you experienced was a symptom of the problem. But no, the site wasn't completely down; only registered users attempting to login should have seen the fatal error message you saw - that includes auto login.

But I never tried to log in. I just tried to access the site.

In any case, I'm glad you fixed the problem and I can now view the site.

Sorry it took a couple of days before learning of the issue and fixing it. Let me know if you have any more problems.
