This is in your notification email. It's a "decay" factor. If you don't log in and either read the thread or mark read, you will get nothing again ever. It cuts down on the site needing to put out emails.

Eric or Greg, Is there a way to keep getting notifications without the constant logging in? (I know.. like i won't )

Unfortunately, I don't think there is. Sorry..
