Forums Down? Lost Posts?

Instead of emailing or messaging the Admins or Mods with technical support questions or comments about the site, we prefer you check here to see if someone else has had the same difficulty or has made the same suggestion. What you're after might have already been posted and addressed here or within the FAQ. If not, please post a detailed description of the problem/suggestion and someone from the HST team will address your needs shortly. If you can't login/post and are unable to reset your password on your own, you may contact us directly.

The forums seem to have been going down on and off over the last 24hrs. I think we may have lost a couple of posts.

Funny. That's exactly what I've been telling our host. Working on it. Sorry for the trouble.

The main issue is that the sessions table of the database somehow was corrupted, and continues to corrupt itself every time it is 'fixed'. Because of this, people who have older cookies stored on their browsers for HST get an error, and those who have settings that refresh their cookies more often (or manually delete their old cookies, like I had to do) are able to see and post on the forums. If you get an error again, try emptying/deleting your cookies (tools -> options) and then hit your browser's refresh button. More times than not during the past two weeks, this has gotten me in.
