Hiding or removing announcements and sticky threads

Post by Captain Slappy »

Is there any way a user can remove or hide the large number of sticky threads and announcements that appear atop the forums? There seem to a screen's worth of the same ones that I have been scrolling past the last several years.

Have you tried using the "quick links" (upper left of screen if using a PC)? Using one of those options will exclude the sticky posts, for example "new posts" will show you everything you haven't read but will bypass the sticky threads.
