just install adblock. you can tailor it to different sites (on/off by site.) you might see an ad upon restart of the browser but it then kicks in and shows you how many ads are blocked on the page. On foxnews and youtube, I see between 20-31 ads blocked each time.
I have only seen the google ad once on HST after a reboot. I use chrome.
