Agree that its a nice shot.

Not all point and shoots are equal. A camera like the Ricoh GR might be able to do this.

maybe. thing is, these images are already pushing the capabilities of a full frame camera. If you are ok with star trails, you can get by with a lot less camera.

Our first evening at Lake Italy this summer. Right before a major storm hit that lasted for something like 4 hours well into the night. Rogue Photonic's tent is in the background. We stayed here for 3 nights and it rained every evening/night. My tent leaked quite a bit in some spots and there were issues with the lower mesh portion. It was then that I decided when I go out for more than a week I'm going to want a bigger tent! Yet, I still used it for the entirety of the 37 day adventure!
